The manufacturing process of touch screens is complex and diverse, requiring manufacturers to strictly control every detail of them. 1. Fingerprint, printing stains and water stains

Fingerprint, printing stains, and water stains are common problems in the manufacture of ITO touch panels. During the entire manufacturing process, from the beginning of material cutting, the operator must strictly wear finger cots on all ten fingers and ensure that the finger cots are clean. , And must be anti-static (because this will affect the touch effect). The main problems faced in printing are stains, but also include such as line pinholes, insulating sticky plates, glue overflow, transparent dry plates, or shadows.

Therefore, all items in contact with the product should be kept absolutely clean for the printing equipment, workbench, screen, and squeegee. Most of the water stains are caused by the cleaning of the material and the etching and washing of the material, so the pure cleaning water should have a resistance value greater than 1MΩ and less than 28MΩ, and a PH value of 7 plus or minus 1.5. The printing equipment also needs to be improved. It should be equipped with a release device, a squeegee constant pressure system, and the motor-driven by the squeegee should use a decelerating motor! In addition to the second and third chamber water cleaning, the etching equipment should also have pure water and ultrasonic water cleaning section, and install the Renault filter anti-static blow-dry function.

2. Spilled glue

Glue overflow is often found on the edge of the touch panel, which may be caused by too much glue or excessive squeezing during bonding. Although it has no effect on the function of the product, it damages the appearance, so it should be improved in the aspects of operation and material and so on.       

3. Newton ring

When a touch panel is added to a support plate (whether it is glass or a PC rubber sheet), it is easy to produce Newton ring ITO material, and insulation points are printed on the bottom of the touch panel!

4. Insulation point

Initially, some manufacturers used a 450 mesh screen to print insulation points with a diameter of 0.1mm. The insulation points of 0.1mm are still possible in the production of Matrix type, and the production cost is reduced. However, in the products of the Matrix type, the diameter should be 0.035mm~0.05mm, and the diameter of each point is the same, the height is the same, the arc is the same, and the spacing is the same. It is now common practice to use steel screen printing.

5. Conductive cable (lead wire)

When the conductive cable is combined with the touch panel, the alignment must be accurate, and the part hidden in the touch panel should be enlarged as much as possible so that the conductive cable has a larger area and is bonded with the touch panel by conductive hot melt adhesive or ACF. In order to strengthen its stability, the conductive cable should be designed with two additional auxiliary lines on both sides and the "+" alignment mark, which is conducive to strengthening the firmness when pressing and can also use the two auxiliary lines to block the heat like a dam. The melted glue or the glue on the edge of the ACF is lost, and the "+" character alignment mark line is conducive to more accurate alignment during pressing.

6. Perforation

If the customer requires a single discharge line, there are three solutions: The first is to connect the lower line with silver epoxy and the upper line, that is, the method of dispensing silver glue. This method is difficult to encounter more and dense lines. The second is to bend the conductive cable, and then use the conductive hot sol to make the upper and lower circuits, but this method is more dangerous, because the printed circuit is easy to be broken after being folded in half, and the third is to use the conductive cable. The combination of wire hot melt glue and touch panel is the same as the second method. The difference is that this method does not need to fold the conductive cable in half. The method of filling holes is used to lead the wires of the upper and lower lines to the same surface (up or down), the conductive cable is FPC+ACF method; the hole-filled FPC connection end also needs front and back pads. According to product needs, holes can be filled inside and outside the lead, which is a relatively advanced method. Irrigation should be carried out depending on the irrigation equipment. It is difficult to achieve the level and uniformity of manual piercing and irrigation holes.
